n 科研综述
黄晓旭围绕上述研究领域,开展了长期不懈的研究,取得了一系列创新性成果:
(1)拓展了同步辐射X射线衍射矢量追踪三维重构原理(Science 2004),发明了基于透射电镜的晶体取向三维重构技术,空间分辨率达 1nm(Science 2011),实现纳米尺度晶粒三维拓扑结构、晶体学取向、五参量晶界特征的无损定量表征(Science 2023);开发了位错晶体学三维表征系列新技术(COSS&MS 2020),实现位错组态形貌学和晶体学参量三维高通量表征,开辟了三维晶体取向与三维位错组态定量研究新方向(Acta Student Awards),为材料基因工程发展提供数据支撑。开发的晶体取向三维重构技术的空间分辨率比同期的其他取向重构技术高三个数量级,入选美国材料研究学会 2011 年全球十大研究亮点;被诺贝尔化学奖获得者 Zewail 教授、英国皇家学会 Sir Thomas 院士等 16 位院士引用,认为突破二维表征技术瓶颈、首创了透射电镜三维取向重构技术,引领材料高通量表征新方向。欧洲科学院Cordier 院士认为三维位错重构实现了位错参数定量高精度表征,应用前景广泛。这些原创技术为下述科学发现和理论创新提供关键技术。
(2)对典型立方金属,系统研究了晶粒取向和尺寸、变形模式、应变量、应变速率和温度等参数对三维位错组态演变的影响,基于三维位错组态形貌学与晶体学特性定量统计分析(Scripta 2017,2018),发现并定义了三类具有不同位错界面晶体学特性的三维位错组态,揭示了晶粒取向决定三维位错组态演变的普适规律(Acta Mater 1998)。结合晶体塑性模型,揭示了塑性变形滑移位错与界面位错组分的关联性,阐明了三类三维位错组态的形成机制,建立了三维位错组态形貌学和晶体学参量与强度的定量模型(Phil Mag 2006)。德国科学院 Raabe 院士指出该研究在国际上首次系统地确定了变形微观结构及其与晶粒取向之间的内在关系;澳大利亚工程院 Hodgson 院士将黄晓旭关于三维位错组态的定义和分类以他原工作单位丹麦 Risø 国家实验室的名称称为“Risø 概念”;成果被写入 Elsevier 经典教材 Physical Metallurgy 等。英国皇家学会Hjörvarsson、美国科学院 Weitz、美国工程院 Kocks等 17 位院士在 Nature、Phys Rev Lett 和 Acta Mater 等论文引用指出,成果确定了三维位错组态与金属强度的定量关系,是适用于金属、无机非金属、胶体等晶体材料的普适理论。
(3)在超大应变塑性变形制备的纳米结构铝中,发现“加热退火导致硬化和塑性变形导致软化”反常现象,揭示了“加热退火降低位错源密度导致材料强化、塑性变形提高位错源密度导致材料软化”的微观机制,提出通过调控位错源密度提升金属强塑性的新策略(Science 2006)。Nature 资深编辑 Ball 专题评述“这一发现改变了对金属力学行为的一般认识”;美国工程院 Lavernia、欧洲科学院 Valiev 和Y.T. Zhu等院士在多个纳米金属体系中证实这一新机制,该思想引领国际纳米金属研究新方向。
首次实现纳米金属塑性变形三维原位研究,发现纳米晶在卸载过程中发生晶粒取向回转的反常现象,揭示了卸载过程中背应力驱动位错反向运动,导致晶粒取向回转的新机制(Science 2023),颠覆了金属塑性变形不可逆的传统认知,丰富和发展了纳米金属塑性变形理论。丹麦技术科学院 Poulsen 院士认为是纳米分辨三维晶体取向研究的代表工作;英国皇家工程院 Langdon 院士指出,该技术有望发现纳米金属更多未知变形行为。
在极限细化的纳米晶原位高压变形研究中,发现高压彻底抑制纳米金属细晶软化效应,将 Hall-Petch 强化效应从 15nm 拓展到 3nm,纳米晶镍获得 4.2GPa 屈服强度和 10.2GPa 流变应力,达到金属镍弹性模量的 1/20,接近其理论强度,实现纳米金属极限强化;揭示了高压抑制晶界滑动、促进晶内位错反应与存储的强化机制,创建了高压细晶强化新理论(Nature 2020)。美国科学院毛河光院士肯定“高压变形是调控材料极限性能的有效途径”;美国科学院Huajian Gao院士和法国技术科学院Jian Lv院士认为“是设计高性能纳米金属的新途径”。
成功开发出 GPa 级高强度钛合金(Science 2024)和极低温环境用钢(US Patent 10,597,742B2等)等高性能金属材料,部分材料在国产全温度场力学试验机关键低温部件制造等方面得到应用,实现国产替代。
